Aside from dog kennels, some people or companies provide dog sitting services in your own home. Just like in kennels, your dog is given the proper and most basic dog sitting services. The only difference however is that your dog does not have to leave the comforts of its home.
Typically a dog sitter comes to your house to provide dog sitting services to your dog. One advantage of this is that some dog sitters provide extra services. Instead of just taking care of your dog, you can also ask them to take care of your house.
Dog Kennels Or At Home: Which Is Better?
Both provide the same basic dog sitting services. The only difference is the location so it comes down to personal preference as to which is the best solution for you dog.
If you feel more comfortable leaving your dog in the hands of the staff of a dog kennel then go for it. You just have to remember though that dogs are just like humans. They may need some time to adjust to a new environment so before putting them in a dog kennel make sure that they become familiar with the location first.
If you choose to hire a dog sitter to provide dog sitting services at home, one thing you have to make sure of is that you fully trust that person to come in and out of your house each day while you are away.
